A heartfelt effort

15 researchers across Europe are working to find a cure for childhood cancer as part of the Vagabond initiative. The platform’s strength lies in collaboration and knowledge sharing, making it easier to quickly share research results with both industry players (pharmaceutical companies) and academia (hospitals and universities). about

The Princess Máxima Centre for Paediatric Oncology is a unique facility, combining all the highly complex aspects of paediatric oncology care and research. Its mission is to cure every child with cancer while ensuring optimum quality of life.

The Princess Máxima Centre is one of the organisations involved in the Vagebond initiative: Validation of Actionable (epi)Genomic Aberrations in a paediatric Oncology Network for Doctorate students. We visited the facility and witnessed the researchers’ enthusiasm and passion first-hand: everyone was working as hard as they could to deliver solutions for children with cancer and those around them. We appreciate the opportunity to help bring this important initiative to life.
